"When I moved here from out of state I needed to find a new Dentist, not something I wanted to do. But, since I was 'the to avoid the dentist at all costs type of person', I put it off. I finally had to go and a neighbor recommended Dr. Hintz. Dr. Hintz is a young, friendly guy and best of all, a good dentist. When I first went to him, I told him that I had not been to the dentist for 3 years. I knew of one problem that I had with a tooth, and he confirmed the problem and fixed it. What I noticed was all the new equipment he had, compared to what I remembered with other dentists I had gone to.

My old way of thinking of a dentist as a doctor who fixes problems as they came up, i.e. having a toothache for two weeks and then going to the dentist to have that specific problem fixed was about to change. I have a friend who needed an operation, he told me that he had to put off the operation because of dental problems. The problem was, there were poisons getting into his system that were came from his mouth, and he had no dental pain at all. He had to have the dental work done before he could have the operation.

This caused me to have Dr. Hintz examine my whole mouth and come up with a list of current problems and future problem I might have. He did this and then prioritized the list for me. I was under no pressure to do anything, but I thought I could get a couple of the worst problems done first, and then slowly work on the rest. I feel like for the first time in my life I have my dental problems under control."
